The Oregon Wheat Growers League (OWGL) is a nonprofit trade association founded in 1926 that represents Oregon’s wheat and grain producers. As the first wheat commodity organization in the United States, OWGL advocates on behalf of growers at the state and federal levels, works to enhance profitability, supports research and market development, and provides a unified voice for the state’s wheat industry.
Agricultural and commodity policy, federal farm legislation, trade and export market development, transportation and infrastructure for grain shipping, crop research and innovation, environmental and natural resource regulation, and state-level agricultural advocacy.
Primarily funded through member dues, voluntary contributions, and a statutorily mandated per-bushel wheat assessment paid by Oregon wheat producers at first point of sale.
Oregon Wheat Commission, Oregon Wheat Foundation, Oregon Wheat Political Action Committee (WPAC), and collaboration with national wheat organizations.
