About the Organization

People Advocating Recovery (PAR) is a Kentucky-based nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by substance use disorder. The organization promotes recovery through peer support, advocacy, education, and community engagement, working to reduce stigma and expand access to treatment and recovery resources across the state.

Policy Goals

Substance use disorder treatment and recovery services, harm reduction strategies, Medicaid coverage and behavioral health funding, criminal justice reform related to addiction, peer support certification and workforce development, and public health initiatives addressing the opioid epidemic.
