About the Organization

Plains Land Bank, FLCA is a federally chartered agricultural lending cooperative based in the Texas Panhandle and part of the nationwide Farm Credit System. Established under the Federal Farm Loan Act of 1916, the association provides long-term real estate loans and financial services to farmers, ranchers, agribusinesses, and rural landowners. As a borrower-owned cooperative, its stockholders elect the board of directors and share in the institution’s earnings through patronage dividends.

Agricultural finance and rural credit policy, Farm Credit System governance, Farm Bill legislation, support for young, beginning, and small farmers and ranchers, and policies affecting agricultural lending and rural economic development

Funding

Interest income from agricultural and rural real estate loans and cooperative capital provided by borrower-stockholders, with funding access through the Farm Credit System network
