Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) is a national nonprofit federation that supports and coordinates a network of independent local affiliates and clinics providing reproductive and sexual health care, educational programs, and public-health services, and that advocates for reproductive rights and access to contraception and abortion.
Advocates for policies expanding access to reproductive and sexual health care—including contraception, abortion access, and family-planning services—comprehensive sex education, Medicaid and public-health funding for clinics, patient privacy and informed-consent protections, and LGBTQ+ health equity and anti-discrimination measures.
Mixed revenue model: patient service fees and government reimbursements (e.g., Medicaid), supplemented by individual donations, foundation grants, and fundraising; advocacy and electoral activity are funded through affiliated 501(c)(4) and PAC entities.
