The Plant Based Products Council (PBPC) is a Washington, DC–based trade association and advocacy organization representing companies across the plant-based product supply chain. Its mission is to advance the development and adoption of plant-based consumer products and packaging, promote a circular bioeconomy, and position the industry as a driver of economic growth, rural job creation, and environmental sustainability.
Federal and state policies that support the bioeconomy, including funding and expansion of the USDA BioPreferred Program, Farm Bill priorities, incentives and regulatory frameworks for biobased materials, market development for plant-based products, sustainable packaging standards, and investment in end-of-life infrastructure and circular economy initiatives.
Membership dues and contributions from businesses in the plant-based products and bio-based materials industry
Member companies across the bio-based supply chain as well as advisory partners such as Environmental Law Institute, GreenBlue, International Conservation Caucus Foundation, Iowa State University Center for Biorenewable Chemicals, and other environmental and academic institutions
