Point of Pride is a trans-led, Eugene, Oregon–based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides direct financial aid and material support to transgender and gender-diverse people—including grants for gender-affirming surgery, hormone therapy access, permanent hair removal, and free chest binders and femme shapewear—serving recipients across all 50 U.S. states since its founding in 2016.
Typically advances expanded access to gender-affirming health care, insurance and Medicaid coverage for trans medical needs, anti-discrimination protections for LGBTQ+ people, removal of administrative and financial barriers to care, and support for community-based mutual aid and youth services.
Primarily funded by individual donations, grassroots fundraising and community events, merchandise and partner donations, and occasional small grants or philanthropic support.
Originated from and closely associated with Point 5cc (a trans-focused apparel initiative); works with community partners and has received funding and collaboration from trans advocacy networks and community foundations.
