PALTmed, the Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medical Association, is a medical specialty society representing clinicians who care for patients in post-acute and long-term care settings, including skilled nursing facilities, assisted living, CCRCs, home care, hospice, and PACE programs. Its mission is to advance compassionate, person-centered, evidence-based care and professional development in the PALTC field.
Health care delivery, long-term care, skilled nursing facility regulation, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, quality of care, clinical standards, workforce and professional education, and advocacy affecting post-acute and long-term care settings.
Primarily membership dues, educational programs, conferences, certification activities, sponsorships, and support from its affiliated foundation.
