About the Organization

The Power & Communication Contractors Association (PCCA) is the national trade association representing companies that construct electric power facilities and communication networks, including transmission and distribution lines, substations, fiber and cable systems, directional drilling, and related infrastructure. Founded in 1945, PCCA provides advocacy, education, industry publications, networking, and safety and best-practice resources to member contractors and suppliers.

Policy Goals

Advocacy for infrastructure funding and permitting reforms, broadband deployment and BEAD-related policy, underground damage prevention and pipeline safety, construction and workforce safety standards, procurement and contracting rules, regulatory engagement on NEPA and state/federal permitting, and issues affecting utility and communications contractors.

Funding

Primarily funded by member dues, event and conference fees, sponsorships, advertising in publications, and other member services.

Affiliates

Member and associate companies including Quanta Services, MYR Group, Michels Corporation, MasTec, MP Nexlevel, American Polywater, Vermeer Corporation, Ditch Witch, and other leading contractors and suppliers; regular engagement with federal agencies such as NTIA and other industry associations.
