The Project for Privacy and Surveillance Accountability (PPSA) is a nonpartisan nonprofit advocacy organization dedicated to protecting privacy and civil liberties from government surveillance overreach. It advances stronger oversight and accountability of intelligence and law enforcement surveillance programs through litigation, Freedom of Information Act requests, policy analysis, and public education.
Government surveillance reform, FISA and Section 702 reform, intelligence oversight, Fourth Amendment protections, transparency through FOIA, limits on law enforcement access to intelligence data, and broader digital and biometric privacy protections.
Primarily supported by private donations and philanthropic grants.
