The Public Affairs Alliance of Iranian Americans (PAAIA) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that represents the interests of Iranian Americans and promotes their civic participation. Its mission is to advance the standing of the Iranian American community by encouraging greater civic engagement, educating policymakers and the public about Iranian Americans, and advocating for policies that benefit the community and strengthen U.S.–Iranian American relations.
PAAIA typically engages in policies related to civil rights, immigration and visa policy, anti-discrimination protections, U.S.–Iran relations, sanctions policy as it affects Iranian Americans, and civic participation and representation.
Primarily funded through individual donations from Iranian American community members and private contributions.
Works closely with Iranian American community leaders and collaborates with civic engagement organizations; associated with Iranian American civic advocates and community stakeholders.
