Purchaser Business Group on Health (PBGH) is a nonprofit employer-led coalition that represents large public and private purchasers of health benefits and works to improve health care quality, affordability, and transparency through purchaser-driven initiatives, data analytics, benefit and payment redesign, and collaborative vendor accountability.
Advocates for employer-sponsored health benefit reforms including cost containment and affordability, price and quality transparency, value-based payment and contracting, standardized quality measurement, prescription drug cost management, and population health strategies.
Primarily funded by membership dues from participating public and private employers, fee-for-service projects and partnerships, and foundation or philanthropic grants.
