The Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA) is a national trade association representing major retailers, product manufacturers, and service suppliers in the United States. Its mission is to advance policies and business practices that help leading retail companies operate efficiently, compete globally, and better serve consumers.
RILA typically pursues legislative policies related to tax reform, supply chain and trade policy, labor and workforce regulations, environmental sustainability, consumer data privacy, corporate governance, and organized retail crime prevention.
Primarily funded through membership dues from large retail companies and industry partners.
Member companies include major national and global retailers; RILA also operates the Retail Litigation Center and collaborates with other business coalitions and industry groups.
