About the Organization

Revive Center for Returning Citizens is a peer-led nonprofit based in Spokane, Washington, founded out of grassroots advocacy to support people returning from incarceration. The organization provides reentry navigation and peer coaching, family supports, housing and employment resources, legal-aid connections, trauma-informed mental health links, and trainings aimed at reducing barriers to successful community reintegration while advancing racial equity and restorative approaches.

Policy Goals

Works on criminal justice reform and reentry policy priorities including funding for peer-run reentry services, removing barriers to housing and employment for people with convictions, relief or reform of legal financial obligations, voter restoration, expanded behavioral health and substance-use treatment access, and race-equity and anti-oppression practices in justice-system policy.

Funding

Primarily funded through foundation and philanthropic grants, competitive public grants and contracts, program/service fees and trainings, and individual donations.

Revive Counseling / Revive Reentry (local program partner), Revive Counseling Spokane, funders such as Arcora Foundation and Washington Women’s Foundation, local legal-aid and behavioral-health partners; leadership includes Layne Pavey (President) and Kurtis Robinson (Executive Director).
