About the Organization

The Rhode Island Farm Bureau Federation is a statewide grassroots advocacy organization established in 1953 that represents farmers and agricultural producers across Rhode Island. It serves as the voice of agriculture in the state, promoting the economic viability of farms, advancing agricultural education, and supporting policies that sustain rural communities and local food systems.

Policy Goals

Agricultural policy, farmland preservation, environmental and natural resource management, farm viability and economic development, taxation and regulatory issues affecting farmers, animal health and food safety, and rural community development.

Funding

Primarily funded through membership dues, program revenues, and affiliated business partnerships and member benefit programs.

Affiliates

American Farm Bureau Federation, National FFA Organization, and affiliated state Farm Bureau organizations nationwide.
