Save the Children is an international non-profit founded in 1919 that works to improve the lives of children worldwide through programs and advocacy in health, nutrition, education, child protection and emergency humanitarian response, with a mission to ensure every child has the opportunity for a healthy, educated and safe childhood.
Advocacy for child welfare and protection, early childhood development and education, child health and nutrition (including maternal and neonatal care, immunization), emergency and humanitarian assistance, reduction of child poverty and hunger, prevention of child labor and exploitation, and promotion of children’s rights and access to services.
Primarily funded by private charitable donations and individual giving, supplemented by corporate partnerships and institutional grants from governments, multilateral agencies and foundations.
