Sea Mar Community Health Centers is a large nonprofit community health center network that provides primary medical, dental, behavioral health, substance use, and social services with an emphasis on serving Latino, immigrant, farmworker, and other underserved populations in Washington State. Its mission focuses on improving access to culturally and linguistically appropriate, affordable health care and addressing social determinants of health in the communities it serves.
Advocacy for expanded access to primary and preventive care, Medicaid/Medicare funding and reimbursement for community health centers, increased federal and state support for FQHCs and public health programs, immigrant and language access protections, behavioral health and substance use treatment funding, oral health access, workforce development and community health workforce training, and policies addressing social determinants of health (housing, food security, transportation).
Mixed funding model including federal grants (e.g., HRSA/FQHC funding), Medicaid and Medicare reimbursements, state and local grants, patient fees on a sliding scale, and philanthropic contributions.
