SEIU 775 is a labor union that represents long-term care workers — including in-home caregivers, nursing home staff, and residential care workers — across Washington state and parts of the Pacific Northwest. The organization’s mission is to improve wages, benefits, working conditions and professional recognition for caregivers and to expand access to quality, community-based long-term care for people who need it.
Collective bargaining and labor protections for caregivers; increases in wages and benefits for home‑care and nursing‑home workers; Medicaid and long‑term care funding and reimbursement rates; access to affordable health care and retirement benefits for caregivers; paid leave and workplace safety; pro‑labor electoral advocacy and support for ballot measures that expand long‑term care resources and worker protections.
Primarily funded by member dues and member contributions, supplemented by fundraising, grants, and political/contribution activity through affiliated labor committees.
Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and regional SEIU affiliates in the Pacific Northwest; allied senior and disability advocacy groups and pro‑labor political organizations.
