The South Carolina Boating & Fishing Alliance is a state-based trade and advocacy organization that brings together boating and fishing manufacturers, dealers, retailers, boaters, and anglers to protect access to waterways and promote the industry in South Carolina.
Boating and fishing industry advocacy, access to waterways, boating safety, conservation, workforce development, tax and fee policy affecting boats and motors, and other legislation impacting marine businesses and recreational anglers.
Primarily supported by membership dues and participation from boating and fishing industry businesses and related stakeholders; the organization also appears to receive some grant support.
Led by President and CEO Gettys Brannon; Chairman Russ Tomlinson, President of Sportsman Boats & Phenom Yachts; affiliated with South Carolina boating and fishing manufacturers, dealers, retailers, and brands such as West Marine, Yamaha, Mercury, Garmin, SeaKeeper, Tidewater, and Scout Boats.
