The South Dakota Bankers Association is the statewide trade association representing commercial and community banks in South Dakota. It provides legislative advocacy, regulatory guidance, education, training and industry services to support the banking sector and promote safe, competitive financial services and community economic development across the state.
Advocacy on state and federal banking regulation and supervision, consumer financial services and compliance, lending and deposit rules, payments and fintech policy, taxation affecting banks, rural and community lending, economic development and small-business credit access, cybersecurity and data privacy, and workforce development for the banking sector.
Primarily funded by membership dues and service fees from member banks, plus revenue from conferences, training programs, sponsorships and other association services.
