Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems Funders (SAFSF) is a national nonprofit network of philanthropic grantmakers and mission-driven investors that mobilizes capital in support of just, equitable, and environmentally sustainable food and agriculture systems. The organization convenes, educates, and organizes funders to strengthen collaboration, advance policy change, and build long-term resilience in farming and food systems.
Agricultural and food system policy, climate-resilient and regenerative agriculture, racial and economic equity in food systems, farm and labor protections, sustainable markets, nutrition assistance programs, and public investment in community-based food infrastructure and rural development.
Primarily supported by membership dues, philanthropic foundation contributions, and program service revenue from its network of grantmakers and impact investors.
Network of more than 100 member organizations including private and community foundations, impact investors, community development finance institutions, and funding collaboratives; collaborates with groups such as Grantmakers In Health and partners in climate and food policy coalitions.
