About the Organization

The Texas Bankers Association (TBA) is the statewide trade association representing banks and bankers in Texas; it provides legislative and regulatory advocacy, industry guidance, professional education, compliance resources, and convening services to support safe, sound, and competitive banking across Texas communities.

Policy Goals

Pursues banking-sector public policy and regulatory priorities including regulatory relief and compliance clarity for banks, deposit and lending laws, community and small-bank support, commercial and consumer finance policy, payments and fintech issues, cybersecurity and operational resilience, and tax and economic development matters affecting the financial industry.

Funding

Primarily funded by membership dues from commercial, regional and community banks, plus revenue from conferences, training and certification programs, sponsorships, and publications.

Affiliates

Member banks and financial institutions operating in Texas; collaborates with the American Bankers Association, other state bankers associations, industry service providers, and related banking trade groups.

Legal Structure
