About the Organization

The Texas International Produce Association (TIPA) is a statewide trade association founded in 1942 that represents more than 370 companies across the fresh fruit and vegetable supply chain. Based in Mission, Texas, TIPA advocates for the business, economic, and political interests of produce grown in Texas or imported through Texas ports, and promotes policies that support the growth, distribution, and consumption of fresh produce.

Policy Goals

Agricultural and trade policy, labor and immigration reform including H-2A regulations, food safety standards, border and customs issues, international trade, taxation, transportation regulations, and state and federal legislation affecting growers, shippers, and produce importers.

Funding

Membership dues, event revenues, sponsorships, and industry program services

Affiliates

Texas Produce Policy Council (TPPC), International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA), Texas Department of Agriculture collaborations, and member companies including growers, shippers, importers, and distributors

Legal Structure

Non-profit trade association organized as a 501(c)(6) business league
