The ERISA Industry Committee (ERIC) is a national nonprofit advocacy organization that represents large employers on employee benefit policy, especially health, retirement, paid leave, and compensation issues. It focuses on helping large, multi-state employers maintain flexible, uniform benefit plans under ERISA and related laws.
Health benefits, retirement policy, paid leave, compensation, employee benefits regulation, ERISA preemption, tax treatment of employer-sponsored benefits, and related federal/state/local labor and benefits policy.
Primarily funded by membership dues from large employer members.
Member companies are large employers across many sectors; key public-facing leaders include James Gelfand (President & CEO) and other ERIC policy and legal staff.
