The Silent Task Force is a Seattle, Washington–based nonprofit organization founded in 2017 that works to educate, engage, and provide resources to the Black community in Skyway and South Seattle. Its programs focus on healing the impacts of systemic violence and inequity through food justice initiatives, youth development, healthy relationship support, workforce pre-apprenticeship training, and community space development.
Food security and food justice, community violence prevention, youth development and education, workforce development and pre-apprenticeship training, public health and healthy relationships, and initiatives addressing systemic inequities affecting Black families and communities.
Primarily funded through charitable donations, grants, and community-based fundraising.
Operates The People’s House community hub in Skyway, Washington and collaborates with local community partners and service providers in South Seattle.
