The Washington Bus is a progressive, community-based civic engagement organization in Washington state that organizes and develops leaders in communities of color and working-class neighborhoods to advance racial, economic, and social justice through grassroots campaigning, voter engagement, and policy advocacy.
Voting rights and civic participation; racial and immigrant justice; economic justice and affordable housing; workers' rights and fair wages; LGBTQ+ equality; healthcare access; criminal justice reform; community leadership development and political empowerment.
Primarily supported by individual and grassroots donations, small-dollar fundraising, and grants from progressive foundations and philanthropic partners, supplemented by event revenue and membership contributions.
Works in coalition with progressive statewide and national advocacy organizations, civil rights groups, labor unions, and community-based partners and leaders across Washington state.
