About the Organization

Transgender Law Center is a national civil rights organization dedicated to advancing the rights and well-being of transgender and gender nonconforming people through legal advocacy, public policy work, and community education. Founded in 2002, it works to change law, policy, and attitudes so that all people can live safely, authentically, and free from discrimination.

Policy Goals

LGBTQ civil rights, anti-discrimination protections, healthcare access including gender-affirming care, criminal justice reform, immigration protections for transgender individuals, youth rights, and policies addressing violence and economic inequality affecting transgender communities.
