The Republican members of the U.S. Senate Committee on Finance comprise the GOP delegation on the Senate’s standing committee that reviews, drafts, and advances legislation and oversight related to federal taxation, revenue, trade, retirement programs, and health-program financing (including Medicare and Medicaid). They present and defend Republican policy positions in markups, hearings, and negotiations affecting the committee’s jurisdiction.
