The UCSF Bixby Center for Global Reproductive Health is an academic research and training center at the University of California, San Francisco that conducts clinical, epidemiological and policy research to improve sexual and reproductive health worldwide and to translate evidence into practice, programs, and policy.
Pursues evidence-based sexual and reproductive health policies including improving access to contraception and family planning, maternal and newborn health, safe abortion care and post-abortion care, HIV/STI prevention and integration of reproductive health services; conducts policy analysis and implementation research to inform lawmakers and health programs.
Primarily financed through competitive research grants and contracts from government agencies and international donors (e.g., federal research agencies and development agencies), philanthropic foundations, UCSF institutional support, and fee-for-service research collaborations.
