The Union for Reform Judaism (URJ) is the congregational and organizational arm of the Reform Jewish movement in North America, supporting Reform synagogues, clergy, and community life while promoting progressive Jewish religious practice, education, and social justice values.
Typically advances policies on civil rights and racial justice, LGBTQ inclusion, religious freedom and separation of church and state, immigration reform, environmental stewardship, social welfare and anti-poverty measures, pluralistic U.S.-Israel relations, and support for synagogue life and Jewish education.
Primarily funded through member congregation dues, individual donations and philanthropic grants, program and camp fees, and endowment income.
