About the Organization

United Chinese Americans (UCA) is a nationwide, nonpartisan nonprofit federation founded in 2016 and incorporated as a 501(c)(3) in 2017. UCA’s stated mission is to enrich and empower Chinese American communities through civic engagement, political participation, youth leadership and education, preservation of culture and identity, and improved U.S.–China people-to-people understanding.

Policy Goals

Promotes civic participation and voter education for Chinese Americans; advocates for civil rights and anti-discrimination measures; supports policies addressing immigration and immigrant family stability; advances youth leadership, educational and mental health initiatives; engages on issues affecting U.S.–China relations and community public safety, including anti-Asian hate prevention.

Funding

Primarily funded by individual donations, membership/supporter contributions, local chapter fundraising, program grants, and event revenues.

Affiliates

A national network of local UCA chapters and partner community organizations (examples include UCA-Washington and regional UCA chapters), plus collaborations with regional Chinese American associations and community partners.
