About the Organization

The United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) is the federally chartered organization that serves as the National Olympic Committee and National Paralympic Committee for the United States. It oversees Team USA, supports elite athletes, and stewards the Olympic and Paralympic movements in the U.S.

Policy Goals

Athlete support and development, Olympic and Paralympic sport administration, National Governing Body oversight, training and performance programs, safe sport and anti-doping efforts, athlete health and education, and sports-related government relations

Funding

Primarily privately funded through donations, commercial partners, and philanthropic support; it does not receive federal funding for its Olympic and Paralympic programs except for select Paralympic military veteran programs
