About the Organization

The United States Senate is one of the two chambers of the United States Congress, the federal legislative body of the United States. Composed of 100 senators representing the states, the Senate is responsible for crafting and voting on federal legislation, confirming presidential appointments, ratifying treaties, and conducting oversight of the executive branch. Through resolutions and legislative actions, the Senate expresses positions on national policy issues, including federal taxation proposals.

Policy Goals

The Senate considers and debates federal legislation across all areas of national policy, including taxation, federal spending, economic policy, healthcare, national defense, foreign relations, and constitutional matters.
