About the Organization

The University of Hawaiʻi System is Hawaiʻi’s public system of higher education, comprising 10 campuses and educational centers across the islands. Its mission is to provide quality higher education, support research and public service, and serve Native Hawaiian language, culture, and educational needs.

Policy Goals

Higher education funding and access, student success and affordability, research and innovation, workforce development, Native Hawaiian education and cultural preservation, sustainability, and statewide economic development.

Funding

Primarily state appropriations, tuition and fees, federal research and education grants, and philanthropic support.

Affiliates

University of Hawaiʻi Board of Regents, UH campuses and community colleges, Office of the President, and affiliated faculty, students, and alumni.
