URGE (Unite for Reproductive & Gender Equity) is a youth-led non-profit organization that organizes, trains, and mobilizes young people to advance reproductive justice, gender equity, and sexual health access. The group focuses on building leadership among historically marginalized youth to expand access to abortion and contraception, equitable sexual health education, and policies that intersect with racial, economic, and LGBTQ+ justice.
Reproductive rights and abortion access, affordable contraception, comprehensive sex education, gender equity and LGBTQ+ rights, racial and economic justice as they relate to reproductive health, youth civic engagement and leadership development.
Primarily funded by philanthropic grants, foundation support, individual donations, and philanthropic partnerships; also receives program grants and small donor contributions.
Works in partnership with national and local reproductive justice and youth organizations, including Planned Parenthood affiliates, reproductive justice coalitions such as SisterSong, advocacy groups like NARAL and other allied youth-led organizations and community partners.
