About the Organization

The Utah Department of Natural Resources is a state government agency responsible for managing Utah’s natural resources, including wildlife, water, forestry, state parks, and energy and mineral development. Its mission is to sustain and enhance Utah’s natural resources for the benefit of current and future generations.

Policy Goals

Conservation and management of wildlife and public lands, water resource planning and development, forestry and wildfire management, state parks administration, oil, gas and mining regulation, and outdoor recreation policy.
