The Virginia Forestry Association (VFA) is a privately supported, non‑profit membership organization that represents the state’s diverse forestry community — including landowners, professional foresters, loggers, forest products businesses and consultants — and promotes sustainable use, conservation and the long‑term economic and ecological benefits of Virginia’s forests.
Advocacy for forest landowner and forest industry interests; sustainable forest management and stewardship; state and federal forestry funding and incentive programs; property rights and tax policies affecting forestland; wildfire prevention and response; timber harvest and logger regulation; forest health and invasive species management; support for forest products markets and workforce development
Primarily funded through member dues, corporate sponsorships, event and conference revenue, program fees and charitable contributions/grants
