Typically pursues policies including expanded access to healthcare and Medicaid expansion, strong public education funding, reproductive rights, voting rights and election access, criminal justice reform, labor protections and higher minimum wages, climate and clean energy initiatives, affordable housing, and transportation investments.
Primarily supported by member contributions and fundraising, coordinated activity and support from the Democratic Party of Virginia, donations from individuals and allied political action committees, and financial/endorsement support from labor unions and issue-based advocacy groups.
