About the Organization

The Virginia State Police Association is a nonprofit professional and fraternal organization that represents active and retired employees of the Virginia Department of State Police. The association provides member services including legal representation, insurance and death benefits, scholarships, emergency relief, professional development, and operates advocacy and political activities to advance the interests of Virginia state troopers.

Policy Goals

Public safety and law enforcement policy, state trooper pay and benefits, retirement and pension issues, officer legal protections and disciplinary representation, funding for training and equipment, workplace safety, and candidate endorsements/legislative advocacy via a PAC

Funding

Primarily membership dues and fees, sponsorships and partner services, merchandise and event revenue, PAC fundraising, and donations to its affiliated foundation
