Voices of Community Activists and Leaders Kentucky (VOCAL-KY) is a grassroots advocacy organization dedicated to empowering people directly impacted by mass incarceration, substance use, HIV/AIDS, and homelessness. The organization works to build leadership among affected individuals and advance policies that promote health, public safety, racial justice, and community stability across Kentucky.
Criminal justice reform, harm reduction and drug policy reform, public health initiatives, housing access, reentry support, and policies addressing mass incarceration and community-based alternatives to policing.
Primarily funded through foundation grants, charitable contributions, and philanthropic support.
