Voices of Florida is a Florida-based, Black- and queer-led nonprofit advocacy organization founded in 2021 (originally Women’s Voices of Southwest Florida). It focuses on defending reproductive freedoms and broader human rights through community education, outreach, direct action and ballot‑driven campaigns, and maintains an affiliated charitable arm for education and community work.
Advocacy for reproductive rights and abortion access, LGBTQ+ rights and gender-affirming care, immigrant rights, voting and civic engagement, and other social justice and human‑rights issues; tactics include grassroots organizing, protests, coalition/ballot campaigns, and community education.
Primarily small‑dollar individual donations and grassroots fundraising, supplemented by grants and institutional support directed to its charitable and advocacy arms.
Active member of the Floridians Protecting Freedom coalition; has worked alongside organizations such as Planned Parenthood Action Network, ACLU of Florida, Florida Rising, SEIU 1199 (Florida) and the Florida Women’s Freedom Coalition; led publicly by Executive Director Sarah Parker.
