Washington Community Action Network (WashingtonCAN) is a Washington State grassroots, member-led advocacy organization that organizes, trains, and mobilizes low- and moderate-income communities to advance racial, gender, economic, and social justice and to influence state and local public policy.
Organizing and lobbying on economic justice, racial and gender equity, affordable housing and renters' rights, workers' rights and minimum wage, healthcare access and Basic Food/SNAP protection, immigrant and criminal justice reforms, and community-led anti-displacement and social housing campaigns.
Primarily funded by membership dues and small-dollar grassroots contributions from supporters, plus event and canvass fundraising and other grassroots revenue; donations are to a 501(c)(4) and are not tax-deductible.
