Washington Conservation Action is a statewide environmental advocacy organization in Washington state that advances climate and clean energy policy, protects land, forests, salmon and Puget Sound, and organizes civic engagement and voting efforts to elect pro-environment leaders and strengthen democratic access.
Climate and clean energy policy, fossil fuel reduction and project opposition, forest and habitat protection, Puget Sound and salmon restoration, environmental justice, strengthening voting access and democracy reforms, and candidate endorsements for pro-environment officials.
Primarily funded by individual donors and grassroots contributions, philanthropic foundations and grants, event and sponsorship revenue, and program grants; also receives support through affiliated fundraising entities.
Formed from and affiliated with the former Washington Environmental Council and Washington Conservation Voters, operates the Washington Conservation Action Education Fund and programs such as Native Vote Washington and the Environmental Priorities Coalition; senior staff include known leaders in Washington environmental advocacy.
