About the Organization

The Washington Hospitality Association is Washington state’s leading trade association for restaurants, hotels and allied hospitality businesses. Formed by the 2016 merger of the Washington Restaurant Association and Washington Lodging Association, it provides advocacy, training, industry information, cost‑saving programs and workforce development to thousands of members statewide.

Policy Goals

State and local public policy affecting hospitality businesses, including labor and employment rules (wages, tip and service‑charge policy), licensing and alcohol regulations, health and food safety rules, workforce development and training, taxation and business relief, permitting and land‑use issues affecting restaurants and lodging.

Funding

Primarily membership dues and fees, program and training revenue, sponsorships and event income, partner contracts and revenue-sharing from member services (insurance, workers’ compensation and payment processing programs).

Affiliates

Washington Hospitality Association Education Foundation, regional chapters and local restaurant/lodging alliances (e.g., Seattle Restaurant Alliance), historic ties to the Washington Restaurant Association and Washington Lodging Association, and working relationships with the National Restaurant Association and industry partners.
