The Washington Secretary of State is a statewide elected executive office responsible for overseeing elections, registering corporations and charities, maintaining the Washington State Archives and State Library, and administering statewide civic and governmental programs. The office manages state and local elections, certifies ballot measures, oversees business and nonprofit filings, and operates programs such as the Address Confidentiality Program and the Combined Fund Drive. As of February 17, 2026, the office is led by Secretary of State Steve Hobbs.
