The Washington Senate Democratic Caucus is the formal group of Democratic members of the Washington State Senate who coordinate legislative strategy, set caucus priorities, provide member services and staffing, and lead floor operations to advance a Democratic policy agenda on behalf of Washington residents.
Typically pursues progressive and center-left state policies including expanded access to affordable health care, public education funding, workers' rights and labor protections, affordable housing and renter protections, climate and clean energy transition, equitable taxation and budgeting, criminal justice reform and public safety, reproductive rights, transportation and infrastructure investment, and voting-rights and democracy reforms.
Operational staffing and administrative support are provided through state legislative resources; political and campaign activity is funded separately through affiliated campaign committees and party fundraising, with revenue from individual donors, party organizations, and allied organizations including labor unions and progressive groups.
