Women Employed is a Chicago-based nonprofit organization founded in 1979 that advances economic equity for women through research, public-policy advocacy, litigation support, and workforce programs. It focuses on closing the wage gap, expanding access to paid leave and affordable childcare, improving job quality and training opportunities, and combating workplace discrimination that disproportionately affects women, particularly women of color and low-income workers.
