About the Organization

Women’s March is a U.S.-based grassroots movement and nonprofit advocacy organization that grew out of the January 2017 mass protests. It organizes national and local actions, public campaigns, and voter-engagement efforts to advance women’s rights and broader social-justice goals.

Policy Goals

Reproductive rights and access to abortion care; gender equity and anti-discrimination measures; racial justice and civil rights; immigrant and workers' rights; LGBTQ+ equality; voting rights and civic participation; economic and health-care justice

Funding

Primarily individual donations and small-dollar fundraising, event and merchandise revenue, and grants from foundations and allied organizations

Affiliates

Founded and originally co-chaired by Linda Sarsour, Tamika Mallory, Carmen Perez, and Bob Bland; has partnered with national and local civil-rights and reproductive-rights groups such as Planned Parenthood, the ACLU, the National Organization for Women (NOW), and numerous grassroots community organizations
