The Wyoming Coalition for Animal Protection (WYCAP) is a grassroots, statewide nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing animal welfare through education, training, and legal advocacy. The organization works to confront animal abuse, cruelty, neglect, exploitation, and abandonment, and mobilizes citizens to strengthen Wyoming’s animal protection laws and public policies.
Animal welfare and protection laws, anti-cruelty legislation, wildlife protection, regulation of trapping and predator control practices, shelter standards, and broader legal reforms to strengthen enforcement and prevention of animal abuse.
Primarily funded by individual, tax-deductible contributions and donations.
Collaborates with community-based animal welfare organizations, local shelters and rescues, and statewide advocacy partners; co-founded by Sylvia Bagdonas.
