ZERO TO THREE is a national non-profit organization focused on the healthy development of infants and toddlers (birth to age three). It produces research, practice guidance, public education, training for professionals, and policy advocacy to promote early brain development, secure relationships, and family support.
Advocacy for infant–toddler mental health, early learning and quality child care, family supports and parent engagement, early intervention and developmental screening, maternal and child health, home visiting, child welfare reforms, paid family leave, and equity in early childhood services.
Primarily funded through philanthropic foundation grants, government contracts and grants, individual donations, membership and training/service fees.
State and local early childhood coalitions; national child advocacy and early education organizations such as the National Association for the Education of Young Children and child-focused research centers (e.g., Center on the Developing Child at Harvard); partnerships with federal agencies including the Administration for Children and Families.
