Creates a new statewide unit in the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to find and stop foreign and domestic threats, including spies, terrorists, insider risks and hostile corporate actors. A team will serve each region and work with existing security task forces to gather intelligence and make arrests. A 10-person core starts by 2027, growing to at least seven teams and full staffing by 2033. Members need related experience. Expect more coordination, arrests, and costs.
